Mica had her baby, and Vicki hasn’t edited anything because she is lame and took too many summer classes. Vicki finally found some free time though, so expect episodes to resume starting tomorrow. We’ll make up for one of the missing episodes now, and the other one once we have some more episodes recorded. Thank you for your patience.

The past week or so has been full of finals for Vicki and appointments for Michelle. We do have a recorded podcast for you; as soon as it’s edited, we’ll put it up. Probably later this week.
Allergies have made it unwise for Michelle to record any of the reviews in our line up. That problem seems to be clearing up, though, so you should start seeing those again soon.

So, you may have noticed that there was no episode this week. Without getting into all the tech stuff, it’s looking like the episode that is stuck on a certain hard drive may forever be lost. We tried to record another episode this weekend but ran into other tech troubles with actually recording. That doesn’t mean we won’t re-record it at another date, nor does it mean that the podcast is going to stop, but that is why I’ve released a review that I recorded on my machine at home, which is not how we usually record our episodes together.
Good news! In a mostly unrelated but timely decision, we bought something akin to a “Real” mic for recording our podcasts. We’ve been using a pair of headphones that had just happened to work, so pretty much any thing is a step up. The mic simply hasn’t arrived yet, but should arrive this week– or, at the latest, next week. It was kind of a miracle that our recording “setup” worked in the first place, but now that it doesn’t, it won’t be a big deal. We’ll have a new setup!
Hey everyone, Vicki here for a quick update. Mica and I have been out of town for the past few weeks and were unable to record a podcast for this week, as you probably noticed. Ohnoes! We are very sorry and will try to make it up to you, our beloved listener. We’re not dead, and we certainly haven’t run out of ideas, so stay tuned!

I’m not recording something for this because it’s not super important news, but the next episode slotted is “Can Books be Morally Corrupting” and it’s ringing in at over 22 minutes. Since our podcast is usually only 10 or 15 minutes long, I’m going to go ahead and split it in half, which means that it’s going to cover two episodes. Vicki is also still planning to release a review for Oryx & Crake.
In other news, I can see that we have some dedicated listeners. Unfortunately podbean isn’t too user-friendly for its non-paying users (like us) as far as telling us how many people are subscribed to our feed and stuff like that. So, if you would like to drop us a line to say hi and maybe why you like our show, feel free. 
If you don’t want us to read it on the podcast just say so. If you chose to remain a silent listener, then you’ll still have our silent salute and gratitude
